City Discotheque

I landed this job thanks to my friends from Uptitude Media. They got in a challenge to redesign this discotheque located in the city of Quito, Ecuador. The guidelines where "we want to see black & white". The owners wanted to see the furniture and the floor just black and white.

We began doing it but found out it needed color. This images show our proposition; they liked it but it was not exactly what they wanted. In the end they chose us for the next stage and we basically turned everything to grayscale and black & white.

Render settings are just basic, I used mental ray in Maya, straight shadows, nothing too fancy. This was my first architectural visualization. All was modeled in Maya. We measured the real place, took a lot of pictures and worked with the floor plans too. The project was done back in the year 2008.

Here is a look of the first proposition. Later I will add some render pictures from another project.
